New Itineraries for Virgin Voyages means a lot of Excitement for the Brilliant Lady
Virgin Voyage’s newest ship, the Brilliant Lady, is setting sail in 2025. With this new ship, Virgin is adding multiple new ports and itineraries to their lineup. These ports include New York City, Los Angeles, and Seattle. There will also be sailings from Miami, Virgin’s primary American port.

Starting in New York, the Brilliant Lady’s sailings will take her to Bermuda and Canada, traveling all the way to Quebec City in the St. Lawerence Seaway. From Los Angeles, they will explore the west coasts of Mexico and the US, including Puerto Vallarta. And finally, the Brilliant Lady’s sailings out of Seattle will take her to the cruising hotspot of Alaska.
How to Get in on the Fun
We adore Virgin Voyages, and we’ve been (impatiently) waiting for them to offer itineraries like these. Virgin recognized the demand from their customers and made the call to reconfigure the Brilliant Lady, allowing her to traverse the Panama Canal. No other ship in Virgin’s fleet can use the canal, which means this is the first ship capable of serving the West Coast. If you, like us, don’t want to miss out on these itineraries, they are doing staged releases you’ll want to jump on.
On May 8th, 2024, Virgin Voyages opens the first Brilliant Lady sailings for booking. Although demand is high, and prices look likely to match, being on the inaugural sailing is a lot of fun! Be quick with your browser and book it yourself right here once sales open up that day.
Two ports of call will become availabe for booking on May 8th, 2024. The first is New York City, sailing in September 2025. The second is Los Angeles sailing the following spring in April 2026.
Additionally, a very special sailing will become available on May 8th, 2024. A 16-night Panama Canal sailing available will be open for booking that day. We expect this to be one of the most highly competitive bookings ever for Virgin Voyages.
Later on, starting May 23rd, 2024, bookings for Miami sailings on the Brilliant Lady will open up. The Miami itineraries start in October 2025.
Virgin’s inaugural voyages from each port are being called their MerMaiden voyages. I know we already said this, but if you want to get on one of these, they will definitely cost a bit more. Typically, these come with special once-in-a-lifetime events and are often joined by Richard Branson. Alaskan Wilderness with the Brilliant Lady
There’s one additional wrinkle to the available bookings on May 8, 2024. Because the Brilliant Lady is on the West Coast, Virgin Voyages will finally offer Alaska itineraries from Seattle, WA. This is an amazing opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful and popular destinations for cruising, on our current favorite line. The Alaska sailings aren’t until the Summer of 2026, and won’t go on sale until later this year, but there are options to get in on it early.

In order to get a foot in the door, preorder vouchers will go up for sale on May 8th, 2024. These vouchers will be $500 for Sea Terrace and below, $1000 for RockStars, and $2500 for Mega RockStars.
