Uluru, the Great Barrier Reef, and Hobbits

A country famous for its unique animals, the endless expanses of the Outback, and stunning coastal cities. Australia often makes people’s bucket lists for a good reason. Seeing a koala or kangaroo or seeing the imposing rise of Uluru coming out of the flat lands of the Australian Outback can be just a few of the amazing things to do in this part of the world.

In addition to the amazing world of the Outback and the truly unique wildlife that resides there, there are a lot of things you might not think of. Cable cars, cruises, helicopter tours, and enjoying the cities are all fantastic ways to get around and explore Australia.

Sydney

The largest city in Australia, Sydney is home to the world-renowned Sydney Opera House. While touring the building or seeing an opera there is a life-changing experience, there is so much more to do within the city. Sitting near the Blue Mountains, day trips go out to explore the majestic crags.

The city is also home to a slate of top museums, zoos, aquariums, and historic sites. Bus and walking tours are some of the best ways to experience the city. Being located on the ocean comes with its own perks, however. Cruise around the harbor and enjoy the cityscape over dinner, or just relax on the surrounding beaches. You’ll find so much to do in Sydney, you’ll have a hard time deciding what.

The Great Barrier Reef

One of the Natural Wonders of the World, the Great Barrier Reef stretches over 1,400 miles and has more than 900 islands dotted throughout. A destination for diver enthusiasts from around the world, there are over 2,900 individual reefs that make up this single astounding structure. Diving or snorkeling in and around these reefs is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is a must do if you love diving or ocean life.

The Great Barrier Reef isn’t without its dangers, however, with saltwater crocodiles and sharks. That’s why it is important to make this trip with an experienced guide on one of the many charters and tours that visit this natural wonder.
